Robert E. Vinson, Jr. has built his legal practice on decades of thoughtful, business-minded counsel for entrepreneurs, business owners, families and franchisors. Mr. Vinson combines early experience in a major law firm with long-term independent practice to provide measured, detailed advice on estate planning, business transactions, franchise law, intellectual property, and related matters.

Background

After completing his juris doctor degree in 1987 at Southern Methodist University School of Law, Mr. Vinson began his career at Strasburger & Price LLP, a large, established Dallas-based law firm (later acquired by Clark Hill). There, he practiced in multiple areas of corporate law, franchise and distribution transactions, regulatory compliance, intellectual property licensing and commercial litigation, and became a partner in the firm.

In 2001, he founded what is now Vinson Law Firm PC, initially in Los Gatos, California, and later establishing offices in Incline Village, Nevada and Wichita Falls, Texas. Since then, he has served as counsel to businesses of varying size and maturity, with particular emphasis on business transactions, franchising, and related business law.

In 2013, Mr. Vinson joined forces with Alan Tiras, and expanded his practice to include estate planning, trust and estate administration, and real estate transactions.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Vinson co-founded Franchise Manuals LLC (now FranMan, Inc.), a company providing custom-prepared operations manuals for franchisors. Mr. Vinson and his wife also own and operate CenterPoint Corporate Services, Inc., a registered agent and corporate services company.
